Interface independence
Layer 01 defines who a person is. Layer 02 governs how that person expresses themselves. Keeping identity and expression as separate layers is what lets the framework generalize. We aim to establish a measurable standard for truthful, provenance-aware AI representations of human identity, independent of the interface through which those representations are presented. The same architecture can inform a text response, a voice interaction, a conversational agent, an enterprise knowledge system, a clinical application, or a visual representation.
Perceived authenticity can shift with tone, voice, and presentation, so it is a separate evaluation dimension from identity fidelity, not the objective itself. The Identity Fidelity Index measures fidelity directly, rather than treating how convincing a representation feels as the goal.
